Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Saleem has been practicing Psychiatry in the Greater Richmond area for over 17 years. His training includes psychiatric training at MCP/Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia, PA and the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. He completed a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Yale University in New Haven, CT. During his time at Yale he conducted research and was a sub-editor for a review book in psychiatry. Dr. Saleem is Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult psychiatry.
Dr. Saleem specializes in treating patients 18 and older for a variety of psychiatric issues including, but not limited to: depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, panic disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, impulse control disorders, cognitive disorders, and memory problems. His training also includes the treatment of depression with the Neurostar TMS therapy system which he has been actively providing for the last six years. Dr. Saleem is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Virginia Psychiatric Society.

Mr. Dilzer has been practicing in the field of Mental Health for over 40 years. His undergraduate training was at William Paterson College and, he received his MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University having completed a Clinical Internship at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children. He has broad experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, and relationship conflicts.
Mr. Dilzer is routinely sought-out by those experiencing complicated emotional and behavioral difficulties. He regularly treats individuals with a history of loss and trauma, those who’ve experienced a life threatening event, or death of a loved-one. His practice of psychotherapy draws upon an eclectic application of Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Problem Solving, and Mindfulness approaches.
Mr. Dilzer enjoys extending his enthusiasm, support, and warm use of good humor to the clients whom he feels privileged to serve.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Erin Tierney-Butler is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. She has worked with youths and adults in residential, community, and educational settings. Mrs. Tierney-Butler specializes in working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, childhood abuse / trauma, substance use disorders, and general life stressors. She adopts a strengths-based, solution focused, holistic approach using mindfulness and cognitive behavioral techniques. Mrs. Tierney-Butler builds therapeutic relationships based on positive regard and authenticity in order to collaborate with clients to create change and improve well-being.
Mrs. Tierney-Butler received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and later went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Psychological Services-Counseling at Marymount University.
Effective March 1st, 2021 we will no longer accept refill requests from pharmacies by phone, fax or e-mail. The goal as it has always been is to renew all medications during office visits.
Patients taking long term medications must be seen at regular intervals as advised by Dr. Saleem. All prescriptions will be filled at your appointment with sufficient refills to last until the next scheduled appointment. Please click the link for more details.
