Dr. Saleem has been in practice in the Greater Richmond area for over 12 years. He completed his psychiatric training at MCP/Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia, PA and the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. He also completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Yale University in New Haven, CT. Where he has also conducted research at Yale University and was a sub-editor for a review book in psychiatry. He is Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both adult and geriatric psychiatry.

Dr. Saleem specializes in treating patients over the age of sixteen for a variety of psychiatric issues including, but not limited to: depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, impulse control disorders, cognitive disorders and memory problems.

Dr. Saleem is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Virginia Psychiatric Society. He resides in Midlothian with his wife and four children.

KimAdolescent & Family Counseling

Kimberly is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been providing counseling to the adolescent community and their families since 1993.  She has worked in a variety of settings including community based and residential treatment centers, middle schools, high schools and alternative placement campuses, as well as in-patient psychiatric facilities.   She provides counseling to individuals and families as well as leading group counseling sessions covering both general and topic specific areas.  Kimberly is also experienced in crisis counseling.

Kimberly’s experience allows her to provide counseling services across a variety of areas including family dynamics, mental/physical/sexual abuse, social skills, Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (LGBT) issues, and peer relationships.

She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the Virginia Counselors Association and the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.  Kimberly is currently licensed in Virginia and Texas and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Connie MacalusoLicensed Clinical Social Worker

Ms. Macaluso is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has been providing counseling services to adults, couples, and groups since 2002. She completed a Masters Degree in Counseling in 2004 from Syracuse University and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work in 2008 from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Connie’s experience allows her to provide counseling services across a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to: interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, grief issues, women’s issues, long term mental illness, first generation students in higher education, the general college student population, and the chronically medically ill population.

Clients from all walks of life are welcome (race, ethnicity, sex, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, age).

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Donna is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her psychiatric training at the University of Virginia. She is board certified by the VA Department of Health Professions.

Donna has been a Health Professional for the past 30 years. She has specialized in geriatrics and educating nursing students with an emphasis on the holistic person and mental health issues. She believes that addressing and treating the psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of each person will enhance their well-being.

Donna has been treating patients with a variety of mental health issues including and not limited to: depression, anxiety, conversion disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, cognitive disorders and memory problems.

 
Dave Dilzer, LCSW PDF Print E-mail

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Mr. Dilzer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in the field of Mental Health for over 36 years. His undergraduate training was at William Paterson College and, he received his MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University having completed a Clinical Internship at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children. He has broad experience in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, ADHD, OCD, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Substance Abuse, and Relationship Conflicts. He works with Adults, Couples, College Youth, Adolescents and, Pre-Teens.

Mr. Dilzer is routinely sought-out by those experiencing complicated emotional and behavioral difficulties. He regularly treats individuals with a history of loss and trauma, or, those who’ve experienced a life threatening event or, a death of a loved-one. His practice of psychotherapy draws upon an eclectic application of Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Problem Solving and, Mindfulness approaches.

Mr.Dilzer extends his therapeutic services to individuals and families experiencing significant difficulties at home, school /college, or work due to issues linked to depression, anxiety, family history predisposition issues, unexpected life transition adjustments, feelings of guilt or inadequacy.

Mr. Dilzer enjoys extending his enthusiasm, supportive strengths’ based encouragements and, warm use of good humor to the clients whom he feels privileged to serve. He is excited to make available his clinical services through the group practice of Midlothian Behavioral Health Associates and, welcomes current clients and new referrals.

Kelly Starbuck is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) that is providing counseling services since 2003 to adults and couples in the Greater Richmond area.  Kelly has completed a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003 and has worked in several mental health settings.  Experienced settings include community based mental health, inpatient psychiatric care and treatment, outpatient crisis intervention, and also has served as an Adjunct Instructor in a school based setting.

Kelly’s experience allows her to provide counseling services across a wide variety of areas including depression, anxiety, bereavement and grief issues, co-occurring disorders, addiction, co-dependency, boundary setting, physical/emotional abuse, marital relations, co-parenting, chronic physiological illness, and long standing mental illness.

Cognitive Behavioral approaches are often utilized in addition to supportive counseling. Kelly enjoys working with clients using an empathetic and holistic approach to best serve their needs.
